The colichemarde is a specialized sword characterized by a blade that is a transition between a rapier and a smallsword; popular from the late 17th to the middle 18th century. Our colichemarde features a traditionally wide forte which sharply tapers into the mid-blade to create a stronger yet lighter sword. This allows for fast and accurate point work with the added ability to defend against heavier blades. They are a fantastically versatile addition to any stage combat armory.
