David Kelch of Chicago, IL says:
I have purchased several weapons for both myself and my theatre company from Rogue Steel. Every one has been of the highest quality and craftsmanship (not to mention fun to play with!!). These are excellent weapons.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Massey for many years now and cannot say enough good things about him and his merchandise. They are well-made, well-balanced, reasonably priced weapons for stage combat use. As a Certified Teacher with the Society of American Fight Directors, I heartily endorse Rogue Steel.

J. Alex Cordaro of Philadelphia, PA says:
I've had a Massey custom rapier for the past five years. In that time It has seen over 700 days of INCREDIBLE abuse doing the ren circut. It still sings like a soprano and is as much a joy to work with as the first day I picked it up. God bless you Neil Massey.....God bless you.....
The shields are fantastic. I can't get over how lightweight and durable they are. Hell of a job!

Adam Noble of Bloominton, IN says:
The first rapier I ever purchased was a Neil Massey swept hilt, and after nearly a decade of solid use, it still holds true. My swept hilt and I have come a long way: I now run the armory for the Department of Theatre & Drama at Indiana University, and what do we have in stock? Rogue Steel rapiers, daggers, broadswords... I wouldn't have it any other way. Neil builds beautiful, dependable weapons. I've already got an eye on his shields...

Russ Turner, Fight Choreographer - Theatrical Combat Network says:
Just wanted to let you know the sword arrived today. Took it to practice tonight and absolutely love it. It floats, rings a high B-flat and I absolutely did not notice I was using a new sword - I've had my old rapier (Museum reps retrofitted with a schlager blade and custom balanced for me) for over 10 years so have become very used to it. The new one seemed like an extension of my hand.
Thank you VERY much!

Michael Hill-Kirkland, MFA, Ph.D. -
Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA says:
Nine years ago I purchased a substantial order from Rogue Steel. This order of 16 rapiers, 16 daggers, 12 smallswords, and 13 broadswords served as the nucleus of an armory that continues to grow to this day. In the intervening nine years I have yet to have a single blade break, a quillon snap, or a pommel strip. These weapons have been used extensively in class, on stage, and at a major SAFD regional workshop each year. You simply cannot beat Neil’s work when it comes to weapons that read well on stage but can take the abuse of daily drills in class.
